Welcome to Corrupted Competitions

Our platform aims to build a community with you and others alike, whilst giving you a high chance of winning the prize draws you enter due to us keeping odds to a bare minimum.

My names is James Sawden, but most people call me ‘Jim‘, I’m a sheet metal worker but most importantly, I am a passionate carp angler, family man and the sole founder of Corrupted Competitions. The name ‘Corrupted’ may seem weird to most, but I’ve been creating carp fishing content for the last 6 years as ‘Corrupted Carpers’ which started as a group of friends enjoying their fishing in the north of England, and because there was a lack of online content for our local lakes, I decided to start making YouTube videos on them for others to enjoy. I did this because I like to try and find solutions to problems, and with Corrupted Competitions I hope to do just that too.

Why play with us?

I understand the market for online carp competition websites is saturated with high odds, expensive prizes and impersonal interactions with participants. I aim to have none of the these at Corrupted Competition’s, as I pride myself on offering the lowest odds possible and I have the chance of doing that due to me working alone (no wages to pay), from home (no rent fees to pay) and I have a Full-Time job (I don’t NEED to make money). I have given away countless amounts of bait and prizes away on my social media channel (Corrupted Carpers) over the years without making any financial gains, in fact I’ve spent a lot of money doing so. But I do it because I enjoy giving back to people that support me, which is why I really want to build a community of people at Corrupted Competitions not a ‘business and customers’ vibe. Some of our prizes may not be high end brands, but they will be products that I use and know are great.

We will also be using local small businesses and tackle shops to source our prizes.
